The Marchetti Company is an agent and importer of fine wine and spirits based in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The agency was founded in 1968 by Gil Schwartz and purchased by wine aficionado and businessman, Tony Marchetti, in 1988. In 1990 we officially became The Marchetti Company. In 2005, The Marchetti Company began importing wine from some of finest wine regions of Europe to create a sensational portfolio of wines of uncommon quality and excellent value.

Our mission is to travel the world to identify, seek and secure a wide array of well-crafted, sensibly priced varietals, and bring them to the marketplace. Whether importing from Spain, Italy, Germany and France or going west to the vineyards of California, our success is the result of building and maintaining long-term partnerships with our producers and distributors.

Operating as Scoperta Importing Company, we lease warehouse space at Fond du Lac Cold Storage in Edison, NJ. This facility enables us immediate access to inventory, and rapid distribution. New business opportunities and vendor relationships have emerged as a result of warehousing our key imports stateside.

In California, The Marchetti Company has enjoyed long-established relationships with some of the state's finest properties, including Pride Mountain Vineyards, Robert Foley Vineyards, Amador Foothill, and Monticello Vineyards. We are proud to represent these wineries throughout the Midwest. In addition to our world-class wine portfolio, we represent the Ozeki Sake Company, Kikkoman Plum Wine and The Jizake in 17 states. We are currently one of the largest sellers of sake in the country.

Over the last five years, The Marchetti Company has experienced tremendous growth in every area of our business. We are present in 29 states and retain 88 distributors. Our staff is composed of a fine team of passionate and dedicated food and wine enthusiasts whose goal is total customer satisfaction on every level. In the fall of 2005 the company moved to its current offices in the historic Rockefeller Building in Cleveland Heights where we continue to expand our vision and commitment to giving the best service to our customers, offering the highest value in our outstanding portfolio, and bringing passion to all of our endeavors.
